Happy Mother’s Day
I’ve had a wonderful day, and Hubby says I’m off-duty til midnight! He’s cleaned the kitchen (which I left with a sinkful of dishes last night - yikes!), tidied and swept the dining room, and kept the children at bay so I could nap and read a novel! On top of that, there were gifts and cards when I got out of the shower this morning.

These were awaiting on the dining table, in a very pretty gift bag. The book was particularly appropriate, as I love all things quilting and it had a quilt theme to it. I teared up at every page as I read some of the poems aloud to the children. I also love, love, love tea, and my family all knows it. But wait, there was more!!! My husband had the computer queued up to a couple of web pages, as the rest of my gift hadn’t arrived yet. I clicked the little boxes to find this:

. . . and this:
One really neat thing is that, of all the teapot sets on the original page, this is probably the only one that would have appealed to me. I actually had hinted a few months ago at a Brown Betty teapot, but my incredible husband actually knows me better than I know myself! This teapot is so me — pretty, but not overly frou-frou. As my love language is Receiving Gifts, he hit the jackpot this time!
From what I understand, Pink Pixie decided that I simply couldn’t have a teapot without teas and insisted that they buy me some along with my cards.
All in all, it’s been a wonderful day!!! I hope yours is as well.

Hi Gem! It looks like you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
I did as well, although it wasn’t my DH that was thoughtful. My children and my parents actually showered me with beautiful gifts and flowers! Jennah’s gift to me had me in tears
She’s such a sweet girl!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the tea set!!!! I love tea as well! So when are you inviting me and Emme over for a tea party? LOL
AND, I just started a home study group that is based on “Power of a Praying Wife” and “The Five Love Languages” that I see you referred to! I don’t have the book in my possession yet, but can’t wait to read it!
Hugs,
Sherry
