Menu Plan Monday

I’m so glad I can play this week! Last week was a make-whatever-you-can-out-of-whatever-you-can-find kind of week. But payday was Thursday and I’m all set for this week and most of next week.
I make my menu plans for two weeks out, and start on Thursday, so I’ve taken some of the Menus4Moms stuff for this week, some for last, and added in some of my own.
Monday - Easy Garden Alfredo (actually I switched it to the Alfredo Carbonara recipe on the back of the Ragu alfredo sauce jar!), hotrolls left from Sunday, salad
Tuesday - Ham-n-Broccoli Quiche
Wednesday - Beef Vegetable Stew w/Cornbread
Thursday - Baked Chicken with Baked Asparagus (Menus4Moms has fried ham, but I’m all hammed out at this point)
Friday - Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Tomato Soup
Saturday - Leftovers
Sunday - Stuffed Crockpot Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and some vegetable (my kids would totally rebel at cabbage and onions. It’s not a fave of mine, either, so not worth a battle.)
Then we’ll be back to Monday. I have it planned, but think I’ll save it for next week’s MPM.

I’m going to have to check out that carbonara recipe on the Ragu jar. Sounds yummy! The baked asparagus sounds delicious too!
It’s really easy — 12 oz of fettucine, 1 cup cooked peas, 4 strips bacon, crumbled. Cook the noodles, heat the sauce and toss it all together. Easy! Of course I never make a recipe as written — I used a 16 oz bag of egg noodles, 2 cups of peas and much more bacon! It was a little dry with the extra noodles,but I think I could have stretched the sauce a little more with some milk.

The menu plan for the week at our house:
Sunday - Whatever Cheryl finds in the fridge.
Monday - The remainder of Sunday’s finds.
Tuesday - Spagh…, um no sauce. Enchila…, um no taco shells, hamburge…, um no buns. Boston Market!
Wednesday - No time to cook. A banana and Twinkies.
Thursday - Leftovers (from before Sunday and Monday)
Friday - Maalox, Tums, Rolaids (from Thursday’s meal)
Saturday - Applebees
