What’s new?
Not a lot. Halloween was pretty uneventful, the girls were Disney princesses — Jasmine was . . . Jasmine (surprise), and Pixie was Cinderella. She really wanted to be Aurora, but when Nana and Papa went to the Disney store, they were out of Sleeping Beauty. Monkey Boy was Spiderman — he wanted to be SpiderHulk but couldn’t figure out how to wear both costumes at once. Of course, my camera cord is still missing, so no pictures until the neighbor sends me the ones she took!
Fiona is doing quite well, we’re just in the final holding pattern. Blood pressure, sugars, all good. I’m getting a little crazy trying to make sure we’re going to be ready for her arrival. I have kinda/sorta/quasi plans for the kids, still need to firm those up. I can’t believe it’s only 28 days (or less)!!!
Squid’s job situation seems to be going from kind of sucks to what are we going to do. It’s always so fun when management and the union decide to pull power plays and the shmucks who actually do the WORK get stuck in the middle. Especially near the holidays and having a baby. Oh, well, it could be worse. He could work for Chrysler.
On a good note, I think Squid and I are nearing final negotiations for bringing the girls home from school. We had a really good talk about what he thinks they need, what I think they need, and what it all means in light of what we have all learned from this semester at school. Thank goodness I already have a curriculum just sitting on the shelf waiting to be broken open. I’m going to have to find some free or really cheap math information.
